Thoughts of Deltarune

To sum it up without spoilers, although the game is technically not "fully out" yet, and we still have 3 chapters to go, Deltarune is genuinely one of the most beautiful pieces of media of all time. I already praise Undertale for its characters, but Deltarune makes its characters feel so real. They all have their personalities, their great parts and their flaws, and they all feel so genuinely written, like true soul was put into making this game. The gameplay is fun, but the writing is absolutely amazing, both with its humor and its serious tones, the way it handles the arcs and lows of its characters, the way it puts things into perspective. This game makes you feel true emotion, grow attached to these characters, due to its masterpieceful writing. I also love how, like Undertale, it handles the common trope of you being a self insert to this main character, Kris, but in reality, Kris is their own person and you're just puppeting them like a Ratatouille rat (although I will say, I hope whatever Kris has been doing lately is explained in later chapters). This game is so immersive, and it gets even better once you start looking it deeper than surface level. Each and every character has so much thought and care put into them.
